Post a Comment The following is an answer from Robin Sharma responding to my One Question Interview question of his single biggest success factor as an entrepreneur.
Robin is one of the world’s top leadership experts and the author of 10 International bestsellers on Leadership and personal success. He is the CEO of Sharma Leadership International Inc. (SLI), a global learning firm focused on helping people Lead Without Title.
There are three primary elements that I have found to be mission-critical in achieving entrepreneurial success:

First, world-class entrepreneurs have a striking clarity of vision. They know exactly what their mountaintop looks like and become almost obsessed with building their days around getting closer to where they have always dreamed of being. Most people spend more time planning their summer vacations then they do building out their dreams and arriving at their most important goals. Superb entrepreneurs are strikingly focused. And that focus is derived from a clear sense of vision.
Secondly, I have found that entrepreneurial success comes to those who are not afraid to be originals. The marketplace rewards those who offer new forms of value. Innovation and offering consumers products and services that are fresh and make people go “wow” is a powerful way to achieve high levels of success. Don’t be afraid to be different. This will allow you to stand out in a crowded world.
And thirdly, entrepreneurial success goes to those who put relationships first. Ultimately, business is about human connections and strong relationships with the people who put food on your table every night. Making the time to break with your clients and have conversations with them and hear their needs is a very powerful success factor.
